Charter
Truth Labs seeks to guide the development of new methodologies for practicing law in the face of frontier developments in artificial intelligence. Our research efforts operate on the following fundamental principles.
- Data driven. We believe that data driven insight into the practice of law will help push the frontier of how legal work can be conducted and delivered to relevant stakeholders.
- Impact. Our research is aligned towards finding meaningful applications in industry, and pushing the frontier of legal practice and research.
- Rigor. Truth Labs promotes a standard of excellence in all research experiments, artifacts, and products. Research is not done simply in service of productionizing insights, but with precision and intention.
- Integrity and beneficence. The goal of Truth Labs is to create research output that is ultimately beneficial to both the legal ecosystem and all those that interact with it. We are focused on holistic betterment of the discipline rather than profit or product. While our research may drive future product innovation, our research priors are agnostic to product development.
- Community. We seek to build an ecosystem within the legal discipline around open research, and to collaborate with stakeholders across both academia and industry.
